The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) concluded another regional investor forum organised as part of an islandwide awareness drive.
The forum which was held in Kuruwita, drew interest among the investor community based in and around Ratnapura. It was the 15th event conducted by the CSE and SEC as part the series titled Kotas Welenda Pola: Nagarayen Nagarayate Compliance Officer at Taprobane Securities (Pvt) Ltd., Roshan Fernando presented an introduction to the capital market while outlining market performance in recent times.
Associate Director at CIMB Investment Bank,Rasanja Perera presented an analysis of the various sectors and industries represented at CSE and made a strong case on a number of potential investment opportunities at present.
The Director for External Affairs and Surveillance at SEC, Tushara Jayaratne and the Head of Market Development at CSE, Niroshan Wijesundere joined the two presenters in a panel discussion which fostered an engaging and open conversation between the speakers and the participants. Attendees were also given the opportunity to obtain advice from investment advisors and representatives of unit trusts to better understand the market and investment opportunities.
