Solid SC defeated New Young FC 3-1 in a Dialog Champions League football fixture played at the Albert F Peiris Stadium in Wennappuwa last Saturday (24).
MKGS Prabodh opened scoring for Solid SC in the 32nd minute and New Young FC equalized when KS Jayalath scored in the 52nd minute.
Thereafter S. Gnanaruban scored two goals in the 78th and 84th minutes for Solid SC to move ahead.

Air Force SC and Pelicans SC ended their Premier League football encounter in a 2-2 draw at Air Force ground Ekala last Saturday (24).
HMJ Chamod and HA Darko scored the goals for Pelicans SC.
PAJ Fernando and Kavindu Ishan scored for Air Force SC.
Lakmal Gunasinghe of Air Force was shown the red card during the final stages of the game while yellow cards were also shown to Shanak Wijesena and Kavindu Ishan of Air Force and KAV Jayananda of Pelicans.
