Joy to the world the Light has come!

23 December, 2018

Jesus was born in Bethlehem as a baby and became the light of this world so that we could receive the necessary illumination to lead a successful life.

Christians believe Jesus Christ is the light of heaven who came and dwelt among us, so that we could have the necessary light to fulfil our destiny on earth.

What do you think are the ingredients of a successful life? The answer to this question would obviously vary from person to person. For some, it could represent making a lot of money. For others, it could mean having a good family life, being educated, having disposable wealth, being able to travel around and take quality vacations, live in some of the best locations in the world, drive their dream cars or being employed in dream jobs. While none of these laudable ambitions are wrong in themselves, the bottomline to lead a successful life would be to satisfy the deep hunger or longing of the heart. One could hardly quench one’s innermost desires, if one does not understand the purpose for which he or she is born.

This knowledge can only come when you have adequate inner illumination. Jesus Christ came so that we can receive this inner illumination. When we receive inner inspirational insight, this gives hope and courage for a prosperous future.

The Bible says, God has good plans, plans to prosper and give all of us a good future. Jesus came into this world, so that this can become a reality in the lives of all those who believe.

Jesus broke into history, so that everyone can live with dignity and acceptance. History shows how mankind has been so unkind to each other on the basis of race, nationality, wealth, language, sex and diversity. Jesus was born to restore value and inheritance to humanity. He came to claim mankind as an eternal inheritance of God. Sometimes, we might not have an earthy address. May be we are a nobody that none cares very much about. But, faith in Jesus Christ gives us a heavenly address. We are adopted into His royal family and given an inheritance, because He places such enormous value upon all of us.

He came to show that life here on earth is only a boot camp training for eternity. When this reality dawns on us, then we will live to share our gifts and talents with the less fortunate and the poor. We will be motivated to train and coach others in our areas of expertise and knowledge, so that there will be continuity to our legacy, even after we are gone.

Supernatural Living

Of course, we can live a self-sacrificing life on our own strength. That doesn’t mean we cannot lead a more profitable and impactful life with God’s help. If we want to excel and bring a smile on others, we need to have access to the positive supernatural energy and gifts, available for those who ask and seek without doubting. For example, we can have access to divine wisdom and knowledge. It is different from worldly academic wisdom. It is full of joy, peace and happiness and is the very source of innovative, breakthrough ideas.

Miracles happen when we put our full trust in God. When all help fails, that is exactly when God moves in, to show how much He cares. Spiritual healing happens when medical science gives up on us and forces us to look up God’s grace and mercy. Jesus came into this world so that all these blessings and more can freely flow in and through our lives, so that we can experience these blessings and become the chosen vessels that make them a reality in other people’s lives as well.

This Christmas season, let us ask Jesus Christ to illuminate within us the hope to which He has called us, the inheritance to which we have become entitled and the supernatural power that has been made available through His advent. Let Christmas take on a new meaning and dimension as we begin to experience Christ, His love, power and hope in our lives in a special manner.

Christmas reminds us how the light of heaven took the form of a babe, so that we can receive inner illumination on hope, inheritance and supernatural power that are ours, to lead an impactful life of dignity and honour.
