The Puttalam District Chamber of Commerce with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Sri Lanka (FCCISL), felicitated 10 businessmen who have made the district proud at provincial and national level at the annual award ceremony at the Suriya Resort in Waikkala recently.
The selection was based on their financial standing and the support they have lent to improve the standards of society, both at provincial and national level.
The top 10 Hall of Fame winners were Managing Director of Balasuriya Hospital, B.M.A.P. Balasuriya, Managing Director of Prasara Washing Plant, Dhammika Hapuarachchi, Chairman, Suriya Resort, Eric Suriyaarachchi, Chairman, Chuti Duwa Group, M.H.D. Geminious, Managing Director of Weehena Farms, N.S. Victor, Chairman, TNR Steel Sri Lanka, Nushan Fernando, Managing Director, Manisha (Pvt) Ltd., P.J.A.Fernando, Managing Director, Grand Holiday Resort, S.A Nishan Silva, Managing Director, Gospel House Handicrafts, Shiran Karunaratne and Managing Director, Fatima DC & Oil Mill, W.I. Mario Fernando. The Hall of Fame awards recognise their service through their entrepreneurial and leadership acumen. It is a testimony to their devotion to respective sectors in the North Western Province and nationally. The entrepreneurs said, “This award reflects the hard work and effort put into maintaining the quality of standards and services of our organisation.
