Nalanda College’s under 13 cricketers after registering two good wins made their way to the Round III of the Singer inter school cricket tournament.
In their last game they defeated Carey College after bowling them out for a meager 61 runs and replied with 128 for six wickets.
In the following match against Mayadunna MV Hanwella, Nalanda gained a comfortable win with Bimsara Semasinghe 45, Risath Jayarathna 43 and Hasith Ratnayake 39 doing well with the bat for Nalanda.
Nalanda’s bowling was spearheaded by Hasith Ratnayake who captured nine wickets while Bimsara Semasinghe too bowled well to claim four wickets.
