Shift wins at SLIM Digi Awards

31 March, 2019

A digital agency, Shift recently won the only metal at the SLIM Digi Awards 2018, for its innovative ‘Digimore’ campaign that was created for Etisalat Sri Lanka. Securing a silver award in the ‘Telecommunication / IT / Internet and Software’ category, the win stands as a milestone in Shift’s iconic journey and marks its transition into a fully-fledged agency.

Founder and CEO of Shift, Sujeewa Samarasekera said, “Our company was founded 10 years ago with the vision of creating shifts in the country’s digital landscape. Young at heart and driven by a talented team of over fifty dynamic, multi-talented professionals, our work is fuelled by passion, insights and a call to continuously set new precedents in the communications industry.

“The ‘Digimore’ campaign for Etisalat Sri Lanka, shows our ability to address the unique problems that brands may face and find fresh and innovative solutions for them that go above and beyond traditional approaches,” he said.

Managing Director of Shift, Chrishani Kotalawela said, “I look forward to taking on even more campaigns that draw on the power of great talent spearheaded by Prasanga, Sandun, Charitha, Izky and Vipula, technology and gutsy creativity.”

Shift’s ‘Digimore’ campaign was a bold and out-of-the-box idea that was brought to life on multiple digital channels, using insight driven analyses, creative messaging and programmatic targeting.

While addressing a dip in data revenue, Etisalat needed to strengthen its brand identity and resonance with youth – the largest consumer base for data driven products. Etisalat needed to sell a product and increase engagement with this all-important target group, that has always been the focus of the industry and is constantly bombarded by bigger, better promises, offers and deals. The brand needed to stand out from its competition, cut through the noise of the market-place and become relevant in the eyes of the nation’s youngsters.
