The seven-a-side Adhil Bakeer Markar Challenge football tournament is scheduled to take place today with the final to be decided at the Golden Gate International School ground at 4.00 pm.
A total of 32 teams from the Kalutara district are slated to participate in this tournament which is organized by the Kalutara District All Ceylon Union of the Muslim League Youth Front.
The winners will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50.000 and a trophy while the runners up will receive Rs 30,000 according to the organizers.
The chief guest will be the Minister of Sports Harin Fernando while former Minister Imthiyaz Bakeer Markar will also grace the occasion along with several Western Provincial Council members.
