VIASL elects new office-bearers

The Annual General Meeting of the Vehicle Importers Association of Sri Lanka (VIASL) was held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo recently.

VIASL was launched in the early 1980s and it comprises of the pioneer and leading vehicle importers in Sri Lanka.

The general membership elected the office bearers for the upcoming year 2019/2020. Two new office bearers were elected to the panel of office bearers and for the third consecutive year, the general membership elected the same head office bearers who were elected in the past two years, for 2019/2020 as well.

President – Ranjan Peiris (Ranjan Motors), Vice President – Rushanka Silva (Indra Traders), Secretary – Arosha Rodrigo (Kusum Car Sale), Treasurer – Prasad Priyanga Manage (Sunil Motors), Assistant Secretary – S.K. Gamage (Erosha Traders), Assistant Treasurer – Chinthaka Vithanage (Gold Star Car Sales).

President Ranjan Peiris and the office-bearers vowed to contribute their best to the progress of the association in the upcoming year as well. Moreover, they intend to streamline the motor vehicle industry in order to establish a hassle-free environment for all vehicle importers of Sri Lanka to carry out their businesses smoothly.

The VIASL plans to introduce a new range of brand new and used motor vehicles to Sri Lankan customers equipped with state of the art options and safety features, at highly competitive prices.

As vehicles are sourced directly from manufacturing countries all over the world our members are in a competitive position to import them in few weeks time. Since there are regular changes in import taxes, our members are in a position to deliver vehicles on time without the risk of vehicles getting caught to unbearable tax changes.
