The Wana Arana Foundation, Fly Adds Pvt Ltd and the Municipal Council of Dehiwela-Mt. Lavinia launched a project to collect waste in and around the beaches of Sri Lanka. It was launched at the Mt. Lavinia recently. The two organisations plan to implement this project in the beaches of Arugam Bay, Polhena, Hikkaduwa, Negombo, Trincomalee, Matara, Tangalle and other areas where non-degradable waste is likely to collect.
The project ‘Meka Ape Rata Apima Hada Ganimu’ (‘This is our country, let’s make it a better place ourselves’).
