The Moratuwa Arts Forum is scheduled to release their Down Memory Lane golden oldies CD as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations with Sooriya records, on August 25at the Sooriya Village, Colombo 5.
The CD will feature MAF singers performing much loved all-time hits, such as Old Folks At Home, My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean, Clementine, Home On The Range, Have I Told You Lately, Silver Haired Daddy, Under the Bridges of Paris, Red River Valley, Silver Threads Among The Gold, among many other songs. The singers featured on the album include Lincoln De Silva (Super Pink & Purple), Chandral Fonseka (Kings), Priya Peiris and Erinton Perera (La Bambas), Lankika Perera (Golden Chimes), Merril Fernando (former Amigos Romanticas), Melantha Perera (Mirage), Sunil and Piyal Perera (Gypsies), Brian Coorey (ex Pink& Purple and Gaylords), Nihal Fernando (Niro), Sureshni Wanigasooriya (ex X-periment), Lucky Deva & Shenya Napthalie (Spirit), Hiran Fernando (ex Pink& Purple), Channa Galappaththi (ex Ebony& Friends), Eranjan & Viranjan Perera, Lilanthi Jayaratne, Delvin& Lucille Pereira, Anuradha Mack, Hemaka Fernando, Dilrukshi Galappathti and Ramani Soysa.
At the launch an informative and interesting insight into the history of Moratuwa music will be sketched among other musical renditions.
