Joes rout St. Patrick’s by an innings

St. Joseph’s College beat St. Patrick’s College Jaffna by an innings and 129 runs in their traditional fixture of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under-19 schools cricket fixture played at Darley Road yesterday.

St. Joseph’s scored 222 for 8 and St. Patrick’s were bowled out for 41 in the first innings and following on were dismissed for 52 in the second innings as spinner Shalinda Seneviratne claimed nine wickets in the match while Dunith Wellalage took 5 for 28 runs in the second innings.
