‘The Business Today’, magazine in its latest evaluation has included Pan Asia Banking Corporation PLC among the Top 30 corporates in Sri Lanka for the first time in its history, in recognition of the bank’s business and financial resilience in challenging times.

The Business Today Top 30, for 2018–2019 is an independent ranking of the country’s listed entities based on a comprehensive evaluation of an entity’s financial and non-financial performance for the financial years ended in December 2018 and March 2019 conducted with the assistance of KPMG Sri Lanka.

The fact that the bank could enter among the top 30 businesses in the country from almost 300 listed business entities, many of which are larger and older makes Pan Asia Bank’s potential for its current scale and size, Chief Executive Officer Nimal Tillekeratne said.

“This is a clear manifestation of our resilience as a mid-sized commercial bank and this recognition by one of the leading and popular business magazines in the country is an encouragement to all of us at Pan Asia Bank to stay focused and maneuver through challenging times,” he said.Pan Asia Bank has many a time been adjudged as the country’s fastest growing bank and for its innovative products and in the recent past has won the gold award for the best business and financial results from all Sri Lankan corporates by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka.
