St. Peter’s and S. Thomas’ Colleges emerged joint champions in the first Eleven category at the fifth edition of the annual TPT Hockey Carnival organized by the Old Boys of S. Thomas’ St. Peter’s and Trinity College and held at the Peterite grounds Bambalapitiya, on September 28.
The past 'stickers' of Trinity, St. Peter’s and S. Thomas’ Colleges (TPT) put their shoulders together to organize this Seven-a-Side tournament. All three schools have played the game for decades and have produced many players who have donned the Sri Lanka hockey jersey.
The Tournament was conducted in six age categories in the under-14, 16, 1st XI teams, 20 to 30, 30 to 40, 40 and over old boys categories. This was a very rare occasion where stickers of the three schools who are over forty years of age 'turned back the hands of the clock' at this carnival.
An Old Peterite team went in as champions of all three groups and did well to defend their championships on home soil.
