The 64th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Press Association, the oldest local Association of Journalists will be held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute under the patronage of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, on October 22 (Tuesday) at 3 p.m.
Ten seniormost journalists of Sri Lanka will be felicitated at the event. Indian, Pakistani and Nepalese journalists are also expected to attend the event. The ten seniormost journalists to be felicitated are Edmond Ranasinghe, Elmo Goonaratne P.M. Senaratne, Daya Somasiri, A.L.K. Perera, Krishnasamy, Ariyaratne Ganegoda, Bruce Morris, Anandi Balasingham and Karuna Perera.
