Police Narcotics Bureau officer, who was arrested with fake currency notes, was ordered to be further remanded till August 31 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratna today.
The CID had earlier informed the court that they had taken into custody 32 illegal Rs.5000 notes from the possession of PNB officer W.Lakshan Sameera.
The suspect was already in remand custody over an incident for maintaining links with big time illegal drug traffickers.
The Criminal Investigations Department said the currency notes had displayed the same fake number.
