Maliban Biscuits presented multiple biomedical equipment to the Gampaha District General Hospital recently.

This project stands as another effort in Maliban’s overall commitment towards a national cause to protect local communities. With a total investment of LKR 4 million, the company valiantly undertook the role of providing state-of-the-art ICU equipment to the Gampaha District General Hospital. The full functioning ICU bed and the ventilator consisting of the latest equipment will assist the hospital and staff to ensure the best treatment and recovery for critically ill COVID patients, as the hospital fights each day to save every life at risk. Maliban also donated other necessary ward equipment such as 250 oxygen masks and 60 non-rebreather masks.

Group Managing Director of Maliban Biscuits, Mrs. Kumudika Fernando said, “As we face heightened cases of Covid-19 patients on a daily basis, we need to unite forces as a nation to mitigate the spread of the virus and its harsh consequences. It is with great pleasure that we extend our gratitude towards the noble efforts made by all frontline workers and staff members who attend to infected members of the community.”

Group CEO of Maliban Biscuits Ravi Jayawardane said, “Apart from external efforts, the company also invests towards implementing various Covid measures within its premises every month – thus ensuring maximum safety in all operations and products.“
