Examinations Chief cracks the whip

Printing and distributing model question papers for the GCE Ordinary Level examination 2021 and conducting seminars for students to discuss anticipated questions will be illegal from May 17 midnight, Commissioner General of Examinations, L.M.D. Dharmasena has told Provincial Directors of Education countrywide.

The Examinations Chief has called upon the public to inform the nearest police station or the Department of Examinations if such seminars or paper discussions are held in violation of the law. The Commissioner General has also told school heads that the examination will be held countrywide from May 23 to June 1 as scheduled. The Commissioner General of Examinations in his circular has appealed to all teachers of the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service, School heads and officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service, Postal Department officers and the transport services to extend their fullest cooperation to conduct this examination smoothly for the benefit of over 600,000 school and private candidates.
