The State funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will take place at Westminster Abbey at 11.00 a.m. UK time tomorrow, September 19. A large number of Heads of State are due to attend the funeral, according to sources. President Ranil Wickremesinghe left for London yesterday morning to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. President Wickremesinghe visited the British High Commission and signed the condolence book on September 11. The Government has declared tomorrow, September 19 a day of mourning and a public holiday in view of Queen Elizabeth II’s State funeral.
