A brilliant all-round display by Kavishka Imesh who scored an unbeaten 100 and bowled superbly well to take 5 for 20 with a hat-trick helped St. Sylvester’s College Kandy to beat Zahira College Colombo by an innings and 27 runs in their traditional cricket match played at Maradana on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Sylvestrians batting first made 277 for 7 declared with Kavishka Imesh making 100 not out and in reply the Zahirians were bowled out for 157.
The Zahirians made to follow on were all out for 93 as Imesh took 5 for 20 including three wickets in three balls.
