The 75th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Army Engineers Association (SLAEA) will be held on March 25, 2023 at the Sappers’ Leisure Bay Complex at Mattegoda.
The SLAEA was setup in 1946 to foster camaraderie among veterans of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers provides the Land Forces with mobility and counter mobility upfront in battle in all forms of warfare.
Veterans of the corps specialise in combat bridging, battlefield fortifications and demolitions, mining and demining, watermanship, bomb disposal, humanitarian disaster relief, and search and rescue during combat and in peacetime including under nuclear, chemical and biological threat.
SLAEA has a membership of nearly 2,000 veterans. Veterans looking forward to joining SLAEA can enroll as members at the AGM on March 25, 2023.
