Kolonnawa Coroner Kanchana Wijenayake said that two persons died in two days due to COVID-19. The deceased are a 56-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man. Wijenayake added that in recent times several COVID cases have been found and there is a risk of the illness spreading again and it is better to follow the health advice, especially by wearing face masks. According to the sources of the hospital, a large number of patients infected with COVID-19 are currently being treated at IDH Hospital and there are several IDH staff members among them.
