Dharmaraja College scored an exciting win over Trinity College by 17 points (two goals and a penalty) to 15 (three tries) in their first outing of the Dialog schools rugby league at Bogambara last evening.
Dharmaraja in the first half of the game turned the match in their favor by scoring to lead 7-0 and from there on the Rajans put up a rock solid defence by tackling the Trinity players at any given time.
Dharmaraja went ahead further through a penalty making the scores 10-0 at half time.
Soon after half time the pattern of the game changed and the Trinity College lads were able to score three unconverted tries to make it 15-10 in their favour.
But in the dying minutes of the match Dharmaraja crossed the Trinity defence for the most important try that was goaled making the scores 17-15 in their favour before referee Aruna Shantha blew his final whistle.
