Humanoid robot Diyazen featured at exhibition

The Sri Lanka Industrial Exhibition 2023 was unveiled on Thursday with thousands of visitors on its opening day at the BMICH and concludes today.

The four-day expo features 750 exhibits from 21 different sectors including large, medium and small local and international enterprises. This is the country’s biggest industrial exhibition to date, showcasing prominent manufacturers specialising various industries from pharmaceuticals to automobiles.

The Tri-Forces also featured its leading innovations such as the Sri Lanka Army’s ‘Unibuffle’ MRAP truck which is currently used in UN Peacekeeping missions in Africa.

Arimac, a local startup by young innovators features the Diyazen - Sri Lanka’s first humanoid robot with functions such as high-speed semantic analysis technology, 3D dynamic perception, sophisticated indoor navigation and automatic charging was also displayed.

Arimac is Sri Lanka’s premier end-to-end digital solutions provider in Mobile and Enterprise Solutions, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Immersive Technologies, and Game Design and Development.

The expo also featured four theme days; tech, green industry, women and youth entrepreneurs and skill building. The four day event strives to broaden exposure for emerging local and international business including start-ups companies headed by women and youth and uphold national pride by giving a platform for many home-grown industries.

The expo also featured a forum for innovators on Friday and a one-stop-shop for inquiries for visitors.
