Women Friendly Workplace Awards (WFWP Awards) third edition jointly pioneered by Satynmag.com, and CIMA Sri Lanka was held on 21st July 2023 at the Courtyard by Marriott Colombo with the participation of UNDP Resident Representative for Sri Lanka, Ms. Azusa Kubota as the Chief guest and guests.
The Satynmag.com CIMA WFWP Awards have created a tremendous interest in uplifting the role of women in Sri Lankan workplaces and empowering them for organisational, societal and economic development. The Awards have fostered an enhanced awareness of the need for a women friendly, enabling, equitable and an inclusive workplace culture.
Ten organisations received awards as Women Friendly Workplaces including that of the National Savings Bank (NSB). The awards were judged by a distinguished panel of judges and audited by the Ernst & Young to ensure a fair and accurate result.
The workforce, with a 55% of female contribution, ensures the growth of the Bank while NSB empowers young female employees to drive the Bank towards its success, provided that the 63% of the workforce between 18 and 35 years of age is Female employees.
With the recognition at Women Friendly Workplace, the NSB continues to maintain the gender equality in the workplace and encourages women in all aspects to be financially independent to fulfil their dreams.
