Examinations Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara stressed that the Grade Five Scholarship Examination will be held as before and there will be no change in the structure of the question papers this year.
He said that although there are opinions that there will be a change in the five-year scholarship examination, it will be done in the education reforms to be implemented in the near future.
This year, the Grade 5 scholarship examination for 2023 will be held on Sunday, October 15. Selection of students to schools and awarding of bursaries is a privilege for students who pass this examination. Around 300,000 candidates appear for the scholarship examination annually.
