Sri Lanka Insurance (SLIC), was recognised at the Women Friendly Workplace awards 2023 under the special category for ‘Empowering Women Entrepreneurs with Life Insurance Agencies’.
The awards ceremony was held at Marriot Courtyard, recently and the award was accepted by the senior management of Sri Lanka Insurance.
The award ceremony was organised by AICPA, CIMA and Satyn.
Deputy General Manager/ Head of Marketing and Business Development Namalee A. Silva was nominated in the category of “She Wins” individual awards showcasing her achievements and commitment as a female professional.
Chief Executive officer of Sri Lanka Insurance, Chandana L. Aluthgama said, “We ensure that the organisation’s culture endorses gender diversity, equality and inclusivity to make Sri Lanka Insurance a women-friendly workplace.”
DGM, Human Resource and Administration of SLIC, Rohitha Amarapala said, “We have continuously encouraged our female workforce through engendering gender equality practices and providing equal opportunities to excel in their careers.”
