The sacred Relics of Deegawapiya Stupa and the Crest-Gem now placed at the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara is scheduled to be moved in a religious procession for public veneration.
The procession carrying the Deegawapiya relics will begin at the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara amidst religious blessings today, and arrive at the Gangarama Temple where the relics will be placed till tomorrow for public veneration.
Arrangements have been made for the exposition of these relics at Ananda College on September 5, Sri Sambodhi Temple on September 6 and 7, Kaduwela Sangha Pitti Ancient Temple on September 8 and the Panagoda Bodhirajaramaya on September 9 before they are taken to the Bellanwila Rajamaha Vihara for exposition on September 10 and 11.
