Global recognition for Cinnamon Resort Hotels at SATA

Cinnamon Resort Hotels recently secured two gold awards and one silver in three different categories at the prestigious South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) program, held at Addu City in the Maldives.

Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives and Cinnamon Citadel Kandy won gold in the Leading Surf Resort category and the Leading Lake Resort category, respectively, whereas, Cinnamon Bey Beruwala bagged the silver award in the Leading F&B Resort category. The event was attended by an elite gathering of nominees from the travel and hospitality sector, representing five SAARC countries, namely, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan, Nepal and the Maldives.

Endorsed by numerous multinational and regional associations, SATA, is the first and most acclaimed awards platform of its kind in the South Asian region. Conducted annually in an exotic location within the region, SATA celebrates the best of South Asian hospitality by recognizing and rewarding the outstanding delivery of service excellence throughout the region’s travel and hospitality industry.

Judged by a panel of high-profile senior representatives with vast industry expertise, the program ensures a rigorous and transparent selection process across all award categories. This year’s SATA gala, conducted at Equator Village, Addu City in the Maldives, recognized the winners of 40 categories from over 400 nominations. The event garnered worldwide media coverage from multiple international news agencies.

In an effort to elevate the event to the next level, this year’s judging process was completely digitized, with a real-time system of scoring incorporated into the process via a special online application. The event concluded on a high note with a cultural and music show that featured traditional Maldivian dances and performances.
