Krishantha Gamage won the National Draughts Championship - 2017 which was held at the Colombo YMCA auditorium recently. Fifty three competitors participated in the final round of the championship. Six draughtsmen qualified for the finals round inclusive of Gamage. In the final round he overcame all competitors and defeated Shelton Fernando in the final to become the champion for the year 2017.
