Director Partnerships, STAAH, Rajesh Ghanshani said that they were pleased to note the quick rebound of tourism sector in Sri Lanka sooner than expected which is giving a major economic boost to the country. “This has created an increase demand for Sri Lanka as a destination which will open up more new bussieens for the local hotel sector.”
He said that since the introductions of STAAH to Sri Lanka many leading hotels and even small boutique properties have are using our platform as it has helped to increase business for them.”
“We also observer a new trend where the SME sector hotels too is embracing our solutions along with ‘home stay’ providers,” he said.

“Travel patterns are changing with increase shift towards online bookings moving away from the traditional booking by looking at broachers and consolation with travel consultations.”
Asked to comment on the high airfare he said it should settle as with more flights are taking to the sky to ease the current demand. “Airlines are trying to recover their previous costs and this too has attributed to high airfares.”
