Suwa Diviya, focused on promoting healthier lifestyles and diabetes awareness, will host a public event at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute on November 4, marking World Diabetes Month on the theme “Unmask Diabetes”.

This event aims to shine a spotlight on diabetes, its prevention, and the indispensable community work carried out by Suwa Diviya. The event is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

The day will commence with an engaging presentation on diabetes prevention, where attendees will gain invaluable insights into practical measures they can adopt to reduce their risk of diabetes.Endocrinologist, Dr. Dimuthu Muthukuda, will serve as the guest speaker, conducting an informative session on understanding diabetes. Dr. Muthukuda will illuminate the complexities of this chronic condition, helping attendees grasp its nuances.

A panel of specialists will also grace the event, including a Consultant Cardiologist, a Consultant Ophthalmologist, a Consultant Nephrologist, a Family Physician, a consultant nutritionist and a fitness based rehabilitator.

These professionals will participate in a Q&A session, providing attendees with the opportunity to seek guidance and insights directly from them.
