International Green Mobility Exhibition and Conference from March 22-24

The Joint Action Committee headed by Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media Dr. Bandula Gunawardena has decided to hold the International Green Mobility Exhibition and Conference from March 22-24 next year to get wider international participation.

Previously, it had been proposed to hold the exhibition organised by the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Mass Media in conjunction with World Transport Day 2023 from November 10-12 covering Pitipana, Homagama.

The exhibition organising committee headed by Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena and State Minister of Transport Lasantha Alagiyawanna decided to hold International Public Transport Day on November 10 and the World Sustainable Transport Day Conference on November 26 in Colombo.

The main objective of the exhibition is to draw local and international attention to the country’s electric and electric transport sector in keeping with the concept of naming the year 2024 as the Year of e-Mobility in Sri Lanka.

Through this exhibition, local producers will have an opportunity to provide wide foreign

market opportunities and introduce their products to the world by attracting international attention.

Many innovations of manufacturers, entrepreneurs and designers who are currently engaged in the production of electric vehicles in Sri Lanka and many products related to the field of electric and electric transport from China, India, Japan, Korea and other foreign countries will be included in the exhibition.

The exhibition will showcase the innovations of students studying in advanced technology stream and young people engaged in vocational education related to the field of electricity …and electric vehicles including the motor industry.

Officials and representatives from the Ministry of Industries, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Power and Energy, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Mass Media were present.
