South Asia’s first revolving restaurant on a tower will open early next month on the 27th floor of the iconic Lotus Tower in Colombo.
It will be operated by Citrus Leisure PLC which won the tender to manage three floors of the tower following an agreement with Colombo Lotus Tower Management Company Ltd.
They will also operate two banquet halls on the 26th floor and have some other entertainment options on the 25th floor, said Director, Marketing, Citrus Leisure PLC, Mani Sugathapala at the WTM here on Wednesday. Citrus will also manage a kitchen in the basement and six suites on the 28th floor. He said that the revolving restaurant could accommodate 225 guests and will serve buffet and ala carte menu on the request of local and foreign clients. “We will also employ foreign chefs to give authentic tastes of foreign food. Revolving restaurant will be open from 12 noon to night every day.”
He said that the 26th floor will have two banquet halls under the brand name ‘Cosmic’. The 25th floor will have a large bar area and will provide other entertainment options.
Citrus Leisure PLC owns and manages a chain of distinctive luxury resorts, hotels, restaurants, pubs in Sri Lanka.
