Dimo Agribusinesses holds tractor service camps

Dimo Agribusinesses concluded the “Dimo Care Camp,” tractor service camps in agricultural regions across the island.

The camps, aimed at assisting farmers in their season preparations.

Dimo Agribusinesses, the agricultural arm of Dimo, delivers agriculture machinery from globally-renowned brands such as Mahindra and Claas to Sri Lanka, accelerating agriculture mechanisation in the country.

The main objective of the “Dimo Care Camp” initiative was to deliver top-notch service to all tractor owners preparing for the Maha season, leveraging the company’s extensive experience and expertise in providing after-sales services for agriculture machinery. With this objective “Dimo Care Camp” offered complimentary inspection and service for any tractor brand while providing exclusive discounts on spare parts for the tractor owners gearing for Maha season.

The “Dimo Care Camp” initiative spanned 12 days, reaching several agricultural districts including Batticaloa, Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and Ampara. In each of these districts, the programme was specifically focused on the towns of Chenkaladi, Uhana, Sewanapitiya, Galnewa, Ibbagamuwa, and Galenbidunwewa successfully.

Chief Operating Officer of After Sales Services at Dimo Mahesh Karunaratne said, “Dimo is expanding its presence across all facets of the agriculture value chain while fuelling the dreams and aspirations of the Sri Lankan farming community. The Camp initiative strives to bolster the farming community as they prepare for the season by leveraging our service expertise. With such programmes, our main goal is to guide farmers towards agricultural mechanisation, ultimately enhancing productivity.

“Dimo not only brings agricultural machinery but also power tools, tires, and automotive spare parts from world-renowned brands to Sri Lanka,” he said.

An eye clinic was also organised for the visitors while facilitating free eye examinations. Enhancing the overall experience of the Camp various entertaining games and special activities were organised in collaboration with FM Derana Radio.

The Camp marks the inaugural service program accessible to all tractor owners in Sri Lanka. Dimo Agribusinesses will make this program an annual event.
