SLIoT Challenge 2023 empowered by SLT-MOBITEL was held at the University of Moratuwa recently.
It was organised in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa, and the Information Technology and Communications Engineering Sectional Committee, Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka.
SLT-MOBITEL provided a platform that brought together a diverse array of participants, showcasing groundbreaking projects and solutions in IoT while demonstrating their talent and ingenuity.
Dr. Kutila Gunasekara of the Department of Computer Science, University of Moratuwa, delivered the welcome address.
The chief guest was Chief Marketing Officer, SLT-MOBITEL, Prabhath Dahanayake. Deputy Chief Marketing Officer, SLT, Rohana Ellawala, Prof. Chandana Gamage, Department of Computer Science, University of Moratuwa were also present. The grand finale featured teams from the school, university, and open categories, each presenting their innovative projects and solutions.
The winner of the school category was Team Maroons ofAnanda College, Colombo. Team D Robotics and IoT of Rajapaksha Central College Weeraketiya and Team Phoenix of Gateway College Kandy were placed second and third. In the university category, Team Hydrolink of the University of Moratuwa won first place, with Team Impax of the University of Peradeniya, and Team Hades of the Java Institute of Advanced Technology emerging as the second and third contenders.
In the open category, Team Energetix was adjudged winner, while Teams Agrifue and Rysera were placed second and third.
