The project “Unspoken Voices” was organised recently by the Leo Club of University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Leo District 306 A2, Leo Club of East Bombay, Leo District 3231A1 and Leo Club of Biratnagar United, Leo District 325 C Nepal.

The main objective of this international project was to address global issues such as economic crisis, environmental issues, poverty and health issues and provide possible solutions. As the initial step, responses were collected on the issues they face through Google forms. Then the organisers figured out the problems that need to be addressed according to those responses. As a result, it was evident that some of the uncommon and unraised issues such as discrimination/prejudice and social isolation were highlighted within those responses.

The final stage of “Unspoken Voices” was held as a webinar on April 17 via Google Meet.

Career Guidance Counsellor at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Shashika Niroshani Herath was the guest speaker at the webinar. There were over 100 Leo participants from all over the world who showed enthusiasm to discuss the unraised global issues and to be aware of the possible solutions and remedies to minimise their impact.
