The first ever cricket encounter named the ‘Battle of the Hill Country’ was played between Karagaskada Central College and Siddhartha College Ampitiya.
The interesting and close game was won by Karagaskada Central on the first innings. Siddhartha College batting first scored 266 for 7 wickets in 50 overs. Chamalka Ishan top scored with 97 and Sadika Dewmina scored 77.
Induwara Nisal claimed 4 for 33 in ten overs. In reply Karagaskada College scored 267 for 8 in 41.1 overs. Ashan Tharuka top scored with 105 and Vihaga Nirmal 52 not out. M. Rislan claimed 3 for 53.
