Visit to Grampians

2 April, 2017

We started packing our baggages because we were going to stay for three days at Grampians. We started our journey to Grampians early morning. We passed Ballarat, Ararat and came to Grampians at 12.30 p.m.

We went to the motel that we had booked and put all our baggages and got settled. First we went to Brambuk. We watched a video about Bunjil and there we saw people trying to catch a large emu. After that we went to Boroka lookout. It was steep. We also went to Breed look out. We saw a baby fox. We looked at the sunset. Then we set off to Balconies and saw people at the edge of a cliff even though it was dangerous. They were happy to take the risk. We went to an oval and saw wallabies and kangaroos. We saw them fighting, it was hilarious.

We headed to our motel and had dinner and slept. I woke up early morning and saw kangaroos eating grass. Suddenly I screamed there were one cockatoo and two emus. My sister came running to the top bunk bed and while she was up I showed the animals to her, and she was amazed. Somehow a cockatoo came just outside the motel. We thought we could feed it, well we did. It was so fun when they pecked our hands while eating.

We had breakfast and proceeded to the botanical gardens. We saw many things about nature what we read. We walked to the venus bath. Dad, my sister and I went through the river. We jumped over the rocks, but we couldn't step in the water. We were amazed. Finally we dipped our feet and slid. There was a mountain nearby and two were on top and my dad tried to climb but we said not to. After that we went to see Makenzie Falls where we had to jump over the rocks to get there. We only dipped our feet because the water was flowing very fast. It was very beautiful.

After that we went to the motel and slept and returned home the next day.
