USA may ban laptops on aircraft

11 June, 2017

The US is considering banning laptops from aircraft cabins on all flights into and out of the country.

This move is part of an increase in airport and plane security.

In March this year , the US government introduced restrictions on large electronic devices in aircraft cabins on flights from 10 airports, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Turkey.

But, the airlines are also concerned that a ban on laptops may erode customer demand.
