With a view of bringing about an innovative generation of youth complete with potentials needed to meet the future challenges, the Ministry of Education as per the Budget Proposals, 2017 has taken steps to launch a Scholarship Scheme for talented students who have excelled in sports, arts and new inventions.
As the initial step of the said program commencing from 2017, one thousand (1000) scholarships will be awarded to innovative and talented students starting in GCE Advanced Levels in 2017. Each scholarship includes Rs.50,000 awarded for a period of 20 months. Applications should be forwarded on or before 6.9.2017 to the Principal of his/ her school - Grade 12 in 2017, as per instructions.
