The postal service was created when people began to develop and needed to exchange their ideas and views. When we travel around the country, we can see different types of post offices. They are sub-post offices, main post offices and agency post offices. The postal service delivers mail all over the world, sending urgent messages, issuing identity certification to children like us who are not old enough to apply for the National Identity Card. The Philatellic Bureau is another service which inspires stamp collectors. The postal service is a service by the government to benefit the people of Sri Lanka.
