The Iran Cultural Centre and the Colombo Public Library jointly organised the Iran Sri Lanka Children’s Friendship Week at the Public Library Children’s Section recently. A large number of children from various schools took part in the art, literature and drama events as well as in games. A movie show and workshops were also held.
Buddhasasana, Cultural and Religious Affairs Minister, Vidura Wickramanayake was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony and viewed the children’s exhibits.
The Cultural Counsellor, of the Iran Cultural Centre Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi, Chief of the Economic and Consular Section, K. Soheil, Chief of the Political Section, Seyyed Mostafa Hashemi and Chief Librarian of the Colombo Public Library, Waruni Gagabadaarachchi were also present.
