Alex Rider: Snakehead is written by Anthony Horowitz and it was first published by Walker Books in September 2007. It is the seventh book in the famous Alex Rider book series.

The main character Alex Rider is an agent in England’s Secret Service, the M16. In this thrilling story, after the Ark Angel project, Alex works for the Australian Secret Intelligence Service (ASIS). His target is the criminal underworld of South East Asia and the criminal organization known as the ‘Snakehead’. The leader of this ruthless organization is Major Winston Yu who is a powerful member of the underworld organization ‘Scorpia’. This is the kind of book that is designed to grab the reader by the scruff of the neck, pull him into the page and not let him go until he is well and truly satisfied. If you are looking for a thrilling, exciting read this is it, crackling with suspense and daring, it is a fabulous story which shows that a bit of guts will take you a very long way. Kids as well as adults will be hooked on the adventures of Alex Rider. This book brings new meaning to the phrase ‘action packed’.
