The Old Girls’ Association of Princess of Wales College, Moratuwa will have its annual general meeting on September 14. The 143-year-old school boasts of nurturing many prominent personalities at her bosom, including the first female elected member of Parliament and the first Lankan woman to be awarded a PhD.
The OGA while working hand in hand with the school administration has supported many development projects and provided a number of scholarships to deserving students. This year, the association focuses on building an indoor stadium and the purchase of a vehicle for the school. The events organised by the OGA in connection with Founder’s Day, September 3, include a car wash on September 8 to fund sports equipment, the AGM and get-together on September 14 and the annual trip on September 21. The executive committee invites all past pupils to help make the AGM and its related events a success.
