Two students of Zahira College, Colombo English Section, Areeb Faris and Shihaf Ifthikar launched two books title "Dawn of Thoughts" and “Kid in Me" to mark World Children’s Day on October 1, 2019 at the College Abdul Gaffoor Hall. It was held under the patronage of Principal Trizviiy Marikkar.
Special Guest, former Director, Independent Television Network, Hassim Omar was presented the first copies of the books. Hejaaz International School Principal Zareena Mohideen Hizbullah reviewed the books at the ceremony. Deputy Principals Ananda Ponnemperuma, Razeen Hassan, Vice Principals Hijazy Mohideen, M.T.A. Rauff, Sectional Head Shinaz Badurdeen, Librarian Anoja Renuka Serasinghe, Hejaaz International School, Vice Principal Hasna Iflal, parents and students were present.
