Sinhala and Hindu New Year

2 August, 2020

The Sinhala and Hindu New Year is an important festival. It is celebrated in April. We boil milk to welcome the New Year. The house and garden is cleaned by us. Sweetmeats are made and new clothes are sewn for the festival. It is a very exciting and happy period. We worship our parents and elders and visit our relatives.
