Coconut saplings were planted in the Arabic College premises and a demonstration was held to educate the participants on coconut cultiation, at an event at Cassimiya Arabic College, Puttalam recently, to commemorate the International Coconut Day.
It was organised by the Coconut Development Officer, M.N.M. Hijas. The Principal, Puttalam Cassimiya Arabic College, President, All-Ceylon Jammiyathul Ulama Movement, Puttalam branch - Abdhullah Mahmoodh Aalim, Puttalam Regional Manager, Coconut Cultivation Board, Indika Senarathna and students participated.
