An exclusive culinary program for children was held at Jetwing Colombo 7, on October 3, 2020, organised by Jetwing Eco Holidays. It focused mainly on children between 6-15 and was moderated by Jetwing Colombo Seven’s executive chef Indika Bandara.

It began at 10.00 am at the hotel where the children had a hands-on experience learning the key aspects of cooking and baking. They had their own work stations and the ingredients and utensils to make their own dish.

Parents were entertained at the main restaurant with a mini-high tea until the children had their session completed. The two-hour session gave an opportunity for children to bake their own pizza and make a club sandwich. Some of the them were eager to enjoy the meal they prepared while some of them wanted to take it away and enjoy it with the others at home. At the end, all participants were presented a certificate of participation along with a membership at the Jetwing Junior Club. It was a productive session where the children made new friends and enjoyed the art of cookery.

The children’s feedback was immense as they had enjoyed preparing and baking, learning new skills and kitchen etiquette.

It will continue in the following weeks.
