Suriya Udanaya, a celebration of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year was by the students of York International School, Sapugaskanda.
The event consisted of traditional customs, games, food, clothes and competitions. It was a splendid reflection of the festival’s national heritage and its community significance. This was keenly appreciated by both students well as parents.
The event was attended by Group Chairman, Rohan T. Perera, CEO, Rohan L. Perera, Kanchana Dassanayake, the Principal YISK and Surandi Mallawarachchi, the Principal YISS.
