Dharmaraja College will be looking to grab a Double prize when they confront traditional foe Kingswood College in their 35th limited overs cricket encounter to be played today (31) at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Dharmaraja got the better of Kingswood when they won the 117th two-day match between the two schools last week and have all the reason to believe they can also lay their hands on the Winston Hoole memorial trophy as well.

In the annual two-day game Dharmaraja led by Dulara Bandulasena won by an innings and 69 runs and today’s limited overs game, could turn out to be an interesting match.

In last year’s 34th encounter Dharmaraja emerged victorious by 44 runs. Dharmaraja College scored 271 in 46 overs and bowled out Kingswood College for 227 runs in 46.5 overs.

The match is a highly anticipated contest and is named as Kandy’s Battle of the Maroons.
